About the Role As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in enhancing teaching and learning across the school. Working closely with class teachers, you will help deliver high-quality lessons, lead targeted interventions, and support pupils with a wide range of learning needs. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about education and eager to make a meaningful difference in a supportive, collaborative setting. Key Responsibilities Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support Lead intervention programmes for pupils with additional needs, including SEND and EAL Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment Support pupils’ emotional and social development, building confidence and resilience Prepare and organise learning materials and assist with tracking pupil progress Maintain effective communication with teachers, parents, and carers Contribute to wider school life, including extracurricular activities and events What We’re Looking For Previous experience as an HLTA or similar role in a primary school HLTA qualification or equivalent (highly desirable) Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to supporting young learners Confident behaviour management and a commitment to promoting positive learning Ability to adapt support to meet individual learner needs and champion inclusive education Why Work with Teaching Personnel?
