The mission of Mass General Brigham (MGB) Department of Personalized Medicine is to utilize genetics and genomics to improve patient care through personalized medicine. The successful candidate will support human subject studies at the MGB Biobank and Genomics Core, handling human samples with attention to detail in a fast-paced laboratory environment. Responsibilities include plasma and serum extractions, specimen processing, storage, and shipping, while adhering to patient privacy guidelines.

Key responsibilities include:
* Perform routine procedures under supervision following established protocols.
* Maintain accurate records of tests, quality control, and instrument verification.
* Ensure compliance with laboratory regulations and safety standards.
* Accession and process patient specimens, including plasma and serum extraction and storage.
* Assist with data collection for quality assurance programs.
* Practice safety protocols and proper handling of hazardous materials.
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma with at least 2 years of relevant laboratory experience or Bachelor's in life sciences, biochemistry, or chemistry.
* Experience in molecular labs or research settings is advantageous.
Skills and abilities:
* Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to learn new techniques and work independently.
* Strong communication skills and teamwork ability.
* Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office.
* Flexibility to adjust work schedule as needed.
