Job Description
We are looking for a compassionate, creative, and engaging Tutor to support a young person entering Year 9, who is currently on a partial school timetable and at risk of permanent exclusion (PEX). This role is more than academic-it's about mentorship, encouragement, and confidence-building.
About the Student
* Recently relocated to the area
* Diagnosed with ADHD and PDA
* Working at a Year 6 level academically
* Has a strong love of animals and enjoys being outdoors
* Responds well to practical, fun, and hands-on learning activities
As a Tutor you will:

o Build a trusting relationship through mentorship and positive reinforcement
o Deliver engaging Maths and English sessions tailored to the student's level
o Use creative, outdoor, and animal-themed activities to spark interest and motivation
o Support emotional regulation and confidence in learning
o Collaborate with family and school to ensure consistent progress
About you:
* Experienced in working with learners with EHCPs
* Patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic
* Able to design and deliver practical, fun learning experiences
* Comfortable working in informal settings, including outdoor environments
* Passionate about making a difference in a young person's life

* Hold right to work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide references upon request
* Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
