The Role As a People Co‑ordinator, you will play a key role in working closely with the People Operations Manager, Head of People & Culture, and colleagues across all departments, to support the full employee lifecycle. From recruitment and onboarding to payroll support, data management, and low‑level employee relations matters. This varied role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, staying organised, and making a meaningful impact on employee experiences. This role is office-based, working 37.5 hours per week between, 08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:30 – 14:30 Friday. Key responsibilities for this role include: Employee Relations Support: Provide administrative support for informal or low‑level ER matters, including attendance, conduct and performance concerns. Meeting Support: Attend meetings to take confidential notes and ensure accurate record‑keeping. Policy Guidance: Signpost managers to relevant People policies and ensure processes are followed correctly, escalating concerns where appropriate. Payroll Support: Assist with the preparation and processing of monthly payroll. Recognition & Engagement: Support delivery of employee recognition schemes and wider engagement initiatives, including volunteering days and wellbeing programmes. Recruitment Coordination: Liaise with recruitment agencies, manage the applicant tracking process, schedule interviews, and communicate with candidates. Onboarding: Prepare offer letters and contracts, conduct right‑to‑work checks, set up new starters, support induction sessions, and ensure compliance. Leaver Processing: Complete system updates, paperwork and exit interviews. HR Administration: Maintain accurate personnel files, ensure HR system updates, monitor absence records, and handle People & Culture correspondence. Data & Reporting: Support KPI reporting including overtime, holiday accruals and other monthly datasets. GDPR Compliance: Assist with audits and ensure appropriate handling of sensitive and confidential information. General Support: Provide administrative support across all areas of the People & Culture function and help drive continuous improvement. About You We are looking for someone who combines solid HR administrative experience with a genuine passion for people, organisation, and continuous improvement. You will be a key point of contact for employees and managers, so a friendly, professional and supportive approach is essential. Essential requirements: Demonstrable experience in HR, People administration roles. Demonstrable experience in supporting low level employee relations issues i.e. absence, conflict and performance management processes. Strong organisational and prioritisation skills. Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information. High attention to detail and accuracy when handling data and documentation. Ability to work under own initiative and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Desirable qualifications and experience: CIPD Level 3 (or working towards) or equivalent experience. Experience supporting recruitment or onboarding processes. Experience supporting payroll processes (e.g., SAGE 50).
