Job Description: Maintenance Technician with electrical experience for 2nd shift
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Make necessary repairs to production equipment through adjustment, repair or replacement of mechanical and/or electrical components in a timely manner to reduce equipment downtime.
* Test and adjust repaired systems for proper performance. When necessary, read drawings, specifications, and manuals for assistance in repairs.
* Conduct preventive maintenance activities as assigned. Perform PMs and take proper steps to correct deficiencies. Make recommendations to improve equipment.
* Inspect motors, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, belts, bearings, and other related components. Lubricate and grease bearing, shafts, chains and equipment.
* Fabricate parts using various tools, machines and equipment.
* Basic welding and torch cutting for fabrication and repairs.
* Install, repair and maintain piping for water, pneumatics and hydraulics.
* Follow basic wiring diagrams, wire three phase motors and troubleshoot.
* Follow OSHA safety guidelines and work safely at all times
* Maintain a clean and safe work area.
SKILLS
* Two years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment as a Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician or related field. Vocational school considered in lieu of experience.
* Must be a self-starter who can work with little supervision.
* Good verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, schematics, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.
* Experience with safety requirements including lockout/tag out.
