The Governors of St Matthew's CE Primary School are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and/or experienced person to provide whole-class and 1:1 support for a child within our EYFS classroom.
We are looking for someone who shares our school values, with inclusion and equality at the heart of everything they do. The ideal candidate will have a positive outlook, a can-do, problem-solving attitude, and a genuine desire to do the very best for the children in their care. Above all, we want someone who will help our children to "flourish in the fullest way possible."
The successful candidate will support the class teacher in the classroom and will also work with small groups under the teacher's direction, with a specific focus on pastoral interventions. The hours will be spread across the school week.
Essential Requirements:
an understanding of the responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children
an understanding of the EYFS curriculum
experience of working with children with SEN / a range of needs
a willingness to uphold the Christian ethos of the school
