About the Role
As a Policing Lecturer, you will teach across a range of further education programmes, ensuring learners receive an engaging and industry‑relevant experience. You will play a key role in guiding students’ progression, managing learning environments, and supporting high standards of behaviour and achievement. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with industry expertise and a passion for shaping future public service professionals.
Actual Salary: £21,414.30 - £27,105.21 per annum
Working Pattern: Tuesday - Thursday - 22.5 hours per week

Essential Criteria
* Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one, or substantial industry experience.
* Subject expertise in policing or a related uniformed service.
* Relevant degree or professional qualification (Level 3 or above).
* Minimum Level 2 in Maths and English.
* Demonstrable industry experience within the policing or wider uniformed services sector.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment across policing and uniformed services programmes.
* Prepare teaching materials, assess student work, and contribute to curriculum development.
* Support and motivate students, monitoring progress and addressing individual learning needs.
* Participate in recruitment, marketing activities, and liaison with external partners and the wider community.
* Maintain accurate records, contribute to quality assurance processes, and engage in continuous professional development.
* Act as a Progress Tutor when required and contribute to pastoral support, safeguarding, and positive student behaviour.
* Attend meetings, work collaboratively within curriculum teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
* Support enrichment activities, external visits, and wider departmental initiatives.
