The Role The successful candidate will: Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated History lessons Teach History to at least Key Stage 3 (other key stages considered) Create an inclusive learning environment that supports a wide range of learning needs Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and attainment Contribute to curriculum development and creative teaching approaches Use data and technology effectively to support learning Promote positive behaviour and strong classroom culture Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers and external professionalsCandidate Requirements Experience Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is essential Experience teaching History up to and including Key Stage 3Skills & Qualifications Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification Degree in History or related subject Strong literacy, communication and organisational skills Ability to adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs Strong curriculum and subject knowledge Ability to build effective relationships with students and colleagues Good ICT skills, particularly to support teaching and learning Ability to remain calm and resilient in challenging situationsPersonal Qualities We are looking for someone who is: Passionate about inclusive education and SEND practice A positive and e...
