Pay Rate: £90 – £110+ per day (Depending on experience)

A supportive primary school in Nottingham is seeking a compassionate 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant (SEND TA) to provide tailored support to a pupil with special educational needs. This is a rewarding role where you can make a meaningful difference to a child’s progress and well-being, while gaining valuable classroom experience.
As a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with SEND, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional needs are met.
* Assist with personalised learning plans, adapting activities to match the child’s abilities.
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that promotes independence and confidence.
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to track progress and implement strategies.
* Support the pupil with daily routines, transitions, and any additional needs within the classroom.
Requirements for 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant:
* Previous experience working with children, ideally in a SEND or 1:1 support capacity.
* Understanding of different learning needs, such as Autism, ADHD, or communication difficulties.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Resilient, patient, and adaptable in approach.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
