Offer description

You will be working alongside the RSOM to deliver an outstanding service to our customers at Wiltshire Farm Foods Loughborough. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day running of the depot, ensuring we hit all financial and operational targets and proactively build plans for any KPIs that are off track. The office manager reports to you, and you provide support to ensure the office team delivers an exceptional customer experience. You will also manage the delivery team and ensure all health and safety policies and delivery procedures are adhered to.

Responsibilities


Operations

* Ensure health, safety, hygiene, and food safety procedures are adhered to at all times.
* Maintain adequate, cost‑effective resources.
* Maintain stock levels to meet customer demand.
* Work with staff daily to deliver profitability and service standards.
* Ensure behaviours align with apetito’s Code of Conduct.
* Maintain excellent operational standards throughout the contract.
* Adhere to all apetito procedures and deadlines.
* Ensure all company vehicles are maintained appropriately.
* Act as a key link between onsite teams.
* Deputise for the RSOM in their absence.
* Maintain route optimisation processes.
* Deliver retail standards within the depot.


Financials

* Support the RSOM in delivering company and client business objectives.
* Agree contract KPIs, monitor performance, and drive profitability.
* Achieve budgeted sales and profitability, influence key P&L drivers, and forecast future performance.


People

* Demonstrate leadership and provide coaching to increase engagement and motivation.
* Recruit, induct, develop, appraise, and review contracted employees for successful probationary sign‑off.
* Develop training structures for growth within the depot.
* Identify and manage training and development needs.


Customer

* Champion excellent service standards.
* Ensure all processes are communicated and followed.
* Promote belief in customer service, meeting and exceeding expectations.
* Ensure new literature is delivered to customers.


Communications

* Maintain excellent communication with client employees.
* Deliver all client and company administration and reporting requirements.
* Abide by client, company, and legislative policies.
* Maintain quality and standards of overall presentation.
* Champion employee forums and promote attendance.
* Create inter-company relationships.
* Build and maintain relationships with the larger UK and Ireland team.


Qualifications – Essential

* High standard of customer care.
* Excellent telephone skills.
* Administration experience.
* Proven stock‑control experience.
* Team management experience.
* Ability in people‑management activities (recruitment, sickness absence, performance management, disciplinary procedures).
* Understand and translate P&L accounts.
* Prioritise workload effectively.
* Proficient Microsoft Office (intermediate or above).
* Full driving licence.


Qualifications – Desirable

* Transport & logistics background.
* Navision (eMeal) knowledge.
* Contract catering experience.
* Fleet management experience.
* Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate.

* Occasional travel to Trowbridge Factory or other depots for meetings and training (may require overnight stays).
