At Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service, this role supports the Aboriginal Justice Caucus and plays a central role in coordinating statewide governance and engagement under the Aboriginal Justice Agreement Phase 5.
Why this role matters
You will work alongside Aboriginal leaders and sector partners to support meaningful reform. Your coordination and governance support will directly contribute to stronger Aboriginal voice and accountability across the justice system.
What you’ll be doing
* Supporting governance and secretariat functions
* Coordinating meetings, travel, and statewide engagement
* Preparing agendas, minutes, and tracking actions
* Supporting communication with Regional Aboriginal Justice Advisory Committees
* Assisting with reporting and project coordination
About you
You may have experience in administration, executive support, governance, or community coordination.
You bring:
* Strong cultural capability and understanding of Aboriginal communities
* Organisational skills and attention to detail
* Clear, respectful communication
* Confidence using Microsoft Office
* Ability to manage competing priorities
