We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our specialist SEND school. You will work closely with teachers to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other complex learning or behavioural challenges. The hours for this role are 08:30-16:00 Monday to Friday. Please note, you MUST be able to commute to Newark and ideally have a car due to the rural location of the School. Key Responsibilities: Support pupils in 1:1 or small group settings, tailoring learning approaches to individual needs. Assist with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies. Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social development. Support classroom learning activities and adapt resources as needed. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all pupils. Requirements: Experience supporting pupils with SEND, preferably in a school or educational setting. Understanding of behaviour management strategies and individualized support. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff. Patience, empathy, and a positive, restorative approach. Please note that we are a nut-free school.
