Certain Advantage is hiring for a Production & CI Engineer based within commutable distance to Holmes Chapel. This is a permanent, full-time role, predominantly based at the company’s manufacturing facilities.

The Role:
As the Production & CI Engineer, you will be in a diverse role, leading process improvements within the manufacturing environment, whilst working closely with the R&D team to take concepts to production.
You’ll be responsible for:
Initially (first 6-12 months) working through an existing project list, including improvements in health & safety mechanisms (design & build of enclosures and guarding for manufacturing equipment), and improving robustness and efficiency of existing manufacturing solutions
Acting as the equipment technical specialist for existing processes
Ongoing design and implementation of process improvements for existing manufacturing
Specifying parts and components to implement process improvements
Work with the technical and production teams, including mechanical, design and electrical engineers, process engineers, material and quality scientists and production operators to ensure all product and system requirements are considered from initial product conception to the finished result
Identifying faults, investigating production problems and repairing equipment quickly and efficiently. Routine maintenance of equipment to specified schedule
Managing sub-contractors
Liaising with R&D staff to assist with the introduction of new products, systems and equipmentThe Individual:
We’re looking for a practical, delivery-focused engineer who can demonstrate:
A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent industrial experience).
Experience and implementation of DfMA best practices
Mechanical build experience
Technical drawings
Proven problem-solving skills when faced with technical fault-finding challenges.
Ability to resolve machine breakdowns quickly and effectively
CAD software proficiency (SolidWorks)The Benefits:
