HMP Frankland has vacancies for B7 Registered Forensic Psychologists. The prison has over 800 men with a significant Cat A population.
Psychologists in Frankland have a range of responsibilities, which includes the assessment of high risk, complex and diverse cases, intervention work, consultancy, research, training and development, as well as providing support to prison staff in various groups in the prison.
Many of the prisoners in Frankland are serving life/indeterminate sentences or very long determinate sentences. Offences include serious violent and sexual offences, terrorism offences and organised crime such as drug trafficking and armed robbery. We were the pilot high security site for Building Choices and also run HII and HSP.
Core Areas
 * Risk assessments and report writing (including parole and Cat A reviews);
 * Working in a consultancy capacity in a range of areas e.g. IPP; OPD; Safety,
 * Staff training;
 * Staff support – currently providing support to Seg staff, key workers and wing staff;
 * Working with a range of complex men on an individual or group basis;
 * Research and review of core policy areas e.g. Safety
We are a well-established team in with good working relationships across the prison.
