We are recruiting for an Obstetric and Gynae Lead Sonographer who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The department works closely with the women's health team to deliver high-quality scan reports.
Our state-of-the-art equipment and strong support from our commercial partners support sonographer development. You will lead in developing improved pathways to support women, utilizing your experience and knowledge of imaging.
Our multi-skilled sonographer team rotates across three sites and provides a 7-day emergency service at the Lister Hospital, our acute site, and is working towards 7-day services at the New QEII Hospital to support the Community Diagnostic Hub.

As the Lead Reporting Sonographer for Obstetrics and Gynaecology, you will play a key role in ultrasound imaging, supporting high clinical standards.
You will assist in developing departmental policies and procedures and contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
The post holder will be involved in creating training documents and competencies for specific procedures.
You will act as an academic and clinical mentor, supporting education and research in ultrasound procedures, including radiologists, radiographers, RDA s, and other disciplines.
The successful candidate will participate in audits and clinical governance activities.
