Happy Energy Solutions Ltd are expanding our team and looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Retrofit Business Development Officer to lead engagement with local authorities and social housing providers. This role plays a key part in driving forward energy efficiency initiatives and building strong partnerships that support the delivery of carbon-saving projects across communities.

What You'll be Doing
* Act as the main point of contact for local authorities and social housing providers within a designated geographical area
* Promote HESL’s full range of offerings, including ECO funding, HEATflex, local HEAT websites, and carbon-saving solutions
* Advise stakeholders on carbon-saving funding, and energy efficiency measures
* Develop and maintain strong partnerships with charities, community groups, and housing providers
* Plan and deliver local events that support community engagement and carbon reduction
* Coordinate project implementation and ensure clear communication between all stakeholders
* Support funding applications and reporting for energy efficiency initiatives
* Produce regular reports tracking outcomes such as carbon and energy bill savings
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management—especially with local authorities or housing providers
* Good understanding of carbon reduction strategies, ECO/HEATflex schemes, and energy efficiency funding
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
* Experience attending events and community programmes
* Excellent organisational and reporting skills
* Experience working with charities or community groups (desirable)
* Knowledge of local government frameworks and funding cycles
* Qualification in environmental sciences, energy management, or related fields (desirable)
Location: Hybrid, Home-Based (within close proximity to London and the South East)
Regular travel will be required to attend meetings with local authorities and social housing providers in London, the South East, and occasionally further afield in line with project requirements.
