About the role
We are looking for female Personal Assistants to join a small, dedicated team providing full‑time support for a young woman with a physical disability. The role is varied and person‑led, helping her live independently and take charge of her day‑to‑day life. It offers flexible part‑time and full‑time work, with support required both at home and within a university setting from September. Some shifts may include overnight or longer support depending on availability. Shifts can start anytime between now and August to allow for training and handover before university support begins.
About the young woman
She is 17, friendly, ambitious and determined. She makes all decisions about her day‑to‑day life and enjoys living each day the way she chooses. Her interests include music, fashion, art, spending time with friends, and relaxing with Netflix.
Duties
Your role is to support her to live her life as independently as possible. While each day may be different and led by her, key duties may include:
* Providing personal care and assistance with daily routines
* Supporting eating, drinking, and meal preparation
* Using equipment safely and assisting with movement as required
* Enabling participation in day‑to‑day activities, social life, and leisure
* Providing support in a variety of settings (home, university, holidays, and elsewhere as needed)
* Day and/or overnight support
* Light household tasks
* Person‑led medication support
