Teaching Personnel are working with a large Primary School in the Barnoldswick area (BB18). Due to a greater intake of pupils who require additional support, the school wish to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant ahead of the new school year and are offering the successful Teaching Assistant a full time temporary position for 12 months, with a view to be then taken on a permanent basis.
Start date: September 2024
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be working alongside identified pupils that have a range of Special Education Needs, supporting them through daily school life. Experience working alongside young people with Special Education Needs (especially ASC) is essential to be considered for this Teaching Assistant role.
SEN Teaching Assistant Roles and Responsibilities;
* Supporting pupils who have mild learning difficulties on a 1:1 basis outside of the classroom.
* Monitoring behaviour and attainment levels and supporting the class teacher when needed.
* Working closely with students who are on the Autistic (ASC) Spectrum.
* Ensuring that students progress within class and supporting their learning.
* Pay rate £84-95 per day *experience dependent.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant must be confident and calm when dealing with challenging students and be able to promote positive learning and behaviour whenever possible. The incoming Teaching Assistant will be an excellent role model to the identified students and be able to have a positive impact on their daily school life.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
