Are you kind, patient and committed to helping young people rebuild confidence and trust? If you’re an experienced care professional ready to take on a leadership role, this could be the next step for you.
At CrossReach, everyday moments such as sharing a meal, going for a walk or playing a game help build trust and support young people to heal. The children in our care have faced significant challenges, and your role is to help them feel safe, believe in themselves and reconnect with their communities.
You’ll work across our small, homely residential houses, supported by a purpose-built school and dedicated teams creating safe, structured environments where children can thrive.
In this role, you’ll:
1. Provide leadership and guidance to staff across multiple houses
2. Act as a key worker, offering consistent emotional and practical support
3. Support daily routines, activities and outings
4. Contribute to care planning and work closely with managers and practitioners
5. Take a whole-child approach to care and wellbeing
We’re looking for someone who has:
Significant experience in residential childcare, ideally supported by an HNC in Social Care and SVQ Level 3. You’ll hold a full manual driving licence, as travel between services and outings are part of the role, and bring a calm, supportive leadership style focused on achieving positive outcomes for young people. This is a Lead Practitioner (Multi Site) role based out of Dumbrock, working across our other houses as required to meet the needs of the young people at any given time.
When you’ll be working
The house works to a 3-week rolling rota, typically covering a mix of early shifts from 7am to 3pm, late shifts from 2pm to 10pm and weekly sleepover shifts. Shifts may vary slightly depending on the needs of the young people, and additional payment is provided for sleepovers. January and February start dates are available.
At CrossReach, you’ll be part of a supportive and committed leadership team where your contribution makes a genuine difference. If you’re ready to lead and support young people to move forward with confidence, apply now.
