We are keen to appoint a dynamic Consultant Medical Oncologist to join our team of Consultant Oncologists working whole-time or part-time in Oxford and the regional units .
This PA post is based at at the Churchill and Horton hospitals, which are part of Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder’s duties will be primarily at Churchill Hospital, Oxford, and the Horton Hospital, Banbury but it is a condition of the appointment that the post holder will be willing to work in any of the Trust’s locations or outreach district general hospital clinics. The post specialises in Urological malignancies. Each -hour clinic has new and follow up patients; for a week year, this post holder is likely to see - new patients.
The oncology department in Oxford moved into a £M comprehensive diagnostic and treatment cancer centre in. Chemotherapy is prescribed using a pan cancer network e-prescribing system (Aria). The department works closely with the University Department of Oncology providing excellent opportunities for collaborative cancer research.
