The main purpose of this role is to support business goals through the people function. To provide comprehensive advice and support for managers and team members as appropriate.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
* Be accountable for the quality standards, volume and timeliness of the HR generalist support and responsibilities, within a multi-tasking, fast paced and changing environment.
* Drafting new or updated statement of terms, job title or salary review change letters, completing pre-employment screening, checking driving licence and right to work status.
* Liaising with Payroll on all employees pay matters.
* Manage new starter, mover and leaver processes in line with ISO standards making appropriate referrals to Security team when required.
* Update and maintain the HRIS ensuring high levels of accuracy at all times. Act as system support/expert answering employee queries and making helpdesk referrals as appropriate.
* Oversee probation process, supporting managers with any identified issues.
* Assist managers to formulate their appropriate training and development plans: identify skills gaps to ensure Stark optimises the contribution of its people. Seek best value training solutions.
* Assist in drafting new People policies and procedures in line with legislative changes.
* Co-ordinate Personal Development Reviews, Stark Academy rotations
* Manage the parental leave processes completing risk assessments, drafting letters and ensuring accurate records on the HRIS.
* Assist with the people and pulse surveys, drafting questions and compiling responses as required. Formulating meaningful actions based on responses.
* Monitor absence level thresholds and effectively manage with relevant line manager and Occupational Health as necessary.
* Coach and support managers in dealing with range of complex and sensitive employee relations issues including flexible working, family leave, attendance, grievances, performance management including disciplinary and capability proceedings to achieve successful outcomes.
* Keep team and line manager informed of all developments and maintain strong lines of communication at all times.
* Actively maintain ISO HR standards, taking part in ISO audits and making recommendations as appropriate.
* Assist the Recruitment Advisor when required to co-ordinate the recruitment process including understanding candidate/role requirements from hiring managers, writing job specifications/profiles, candidate sourcing, agency liaison, manage and provide reporting on aptitude assessments advising hiring managers on the results, support interviews to ensure most suitable candidates are recruited. * Assist the Learning and Development Manager to deliver Stark Induction programme across the group.
* Undertake risk assessments and other actions to promote a safe and healthy workplace.
* Provide research, analysis, management information and administration as required including KPI data.
* Participate in regular training/learning activities to maintain and develop skills and knowledge.
* Adhere to all Stark policies, procedures and working practices.
* Ensure the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by what you do; use work equipment provided safely and co-operate with managers to provide safe systems of work.
* Any other reasonable duties as required.

Technical Skills & Knowledge
* CIPD level 5 qualification essential.
* Experience of using a cloud-based HR database system preferably Cezanne HR.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
* Keep up to date with advances in business area, new methods and ways of working.
* Strong administrative and organisational skills.
* An ability to work independently actively seeking solutions without supervision.
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft applications.
* Confident and accurate use of departmental computer systems/databases.
