Overview
Senior EIA Consultant role at AECOM. You will work with the Environmental Impact (EIA) team to improve environmental performance of infrastructure development projects and support the UK in delivering net zero commitments.
Responsibilities
* Provide Expertise: Coordinate environmental inputs to EIA screening and scoping reports, Environmental Statements (and in the future Environmental Outcomes Reports) and supporting documents, including the technical review of specialist chapters. Involved across all project life stages from strategy development and site identification through feasibility, option selection, outline design, to detailed design, conditions discharge, construction and operation. Work across a portfolio of development projects covering multiple consenting regimes (DCO, TCPA, TWA, hybrid Bill, etc.).
* Ensure Quality: Deliverables produced to the highest quality standards with a critical eye for detail.
* Project Management: Develop project management skills by coordinating resources and budgets (with support where applicable).
* Collaborate: Work as part of integrated design teams to improve environmental outcomes, identify environmental constraints, mitigation solutions, and opportunities to deliver benefits.
* Client Contact: Direct contact with clients and internal supply teams.
* Growth: Promote AECOM’s environmental services to internal and external audiences and support business development opportunities and proposal development.
Qualifications
* A degree in a relevant environmental discipline (Masters preferred) and appropriate professional membership.
* EIA consultancy experience, including coordinating environmental report preparation and technical review of specialist chapters.
* Developing understanding of relevant consenting regimes.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team, coordinating inputs from specialist technical teams.
* Developing project management skills, including programming and budget management.
* Commitment to innovation and continuing professional development.
* Experience of the DCO and/or TWAO consenting regimes would be beneficial, but not essential.
* Efficient verbal and written communication, including technical reviewing and engaging with stakeholders.
