Location: Baker Barracks, Thorney Island, Emsworth PO10 8DH
Pay rate: £12.71 per hour (£23,132.20 per annum)
Working pattern: Permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 (1 weekend in 4)
Shift times: Earlies 0630 – 1400 and Lates 1130 - 1900
Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Food Service Assistant to join our team working at Baker Barracks, Thorney Island, Emsworth. PO10 8DH.
You will be performing basic food preparation, preparing sandwiches, and other Grab-and-Go foods. Alongside this, you will also be working front of house, operating the tills, and providing excellent customer service to our customers.
To be eligible for this role, due to the sector requirements: you must have been a UK resident for the past 3 years and have legal right to work in the UK and be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.

A day in the life of a Food Service Assistant:
* You will be preparing Grab-and-Go foods, such as sandwiches, wraps, and paninis.
* You will be cleaning both back and front-of-house, ensuring the unit is clean and tidy before, during, and after service.
* General front of house duties such as operating the till and cash handling, keeping financial records, providing excellent customer service, and serving customers.
* Making hot and cold drinks and serving food on the food counters, ensuring you are always adhering to Food Safety and Health and Safety regulations.
You will be set up for success if you have:
* Been resident in the UK for the past 3 years and have a legal right to work in the UK.
* The ability to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
* Own transport is essential due to limited public transport links.
