Duties
This is a developing role and as such the responsibilities will grow with you. You will receive support from experienced colleagues and develop your skills to effectively:
Support ICT systems including networks, servers, PCs, Laptops, iPads and other ICT equipment as needed.
Act as first line support for IT users over the phone, remotely and face to face.
Apply logical and creative skills to support and develop systems.
Deliver first class customer service and be committed to improving the customer experience.

We are looking for an Apprentice to join our busy ICT team mainly based at Canolfan Rheidol. You would be working alongside experienced colleagues providing a first line of IT support to Council employees using our in-house ticketing system.
Please note that the advertised salary for this position is subject to the pending 2026/2027 national pay award. The final salary will be adjusted accordingly once this has been agreed.

Qualifications
Minimum entry requirements: 4 GCSE grades C or above including Maths and English (or Welsh).
Applications will not be considered from those who have already achieved a degree in ICT.
Someone who thrives working as part of a team and is resourceful enough to work independently as you grow in confidence on the job. You will have strong IT and creative problem-solving skills with first class attention to detail.
The ability to communicate effectively through the medium of Welsh and English is essential.
You will need the enthusiasm and drive to undertake professional development on the job.
