Salary: Circa £23,422 per annum (pro-rata)

What is the role?
The Transmission Regulation team acts as the interface between SSEN Transmission and the economic regulator Ofgem, ensuring we can secure the revenue required to upgrade and maintain our network. During your placement, you will play a key role within the Transmission Regulation directorate, providing essential support across a wide range of topics affecting SSEN Transmission. You will be responsible for preparing information for distribution to internal and external stakeholders; and will also be responsible for preparing, quality assuring and assessing the effectiveness of regulatory submissions that will play a key part in delivering our Pathway to 2030 project portfolio.
Our Transmission Industry Year Placement provides real hands-on experience through a 12-month placement in our Regulation team. Throughout your placement, you will have the support of a business mentor and buddy who will provide guidance and support to enable you to reach your full potential.

What do I need to join?
You will have a minimum of a 2:2 in the desired degree disciplines listed above. Applications are welcome from all year groups other than finalists or graduates.

* Our Hiring Managers will carefully review all video interviews, and if you make it through, we’ll contact you by Wednesday 10 December 2025 with an invite to attend our Assessment Day expected to take place January/February 2026. We’ll need you to confirm your attendance by Sunday 4 January 2026.
