Where Will You Be Working?
You will be based in one of our supported living services in Barnsley. Here, we provide tailored support to adults with Learning Disabilities, mental health needs, and various health conditions. Your experience with epilepsy will be a plus, and a full UK driving license (automatic) is essential.
Note: This role involves lone working.
Shift Patterns
We are looking for someone flexible who can work a variety of shifts, including early starts at 7 AM and sleep-ins from 5 PM to between 7 AM and 10 AM the following morning. Your role will be incredibly rewarding as you help individuals reach their full potential.
Important: Working hours may vary by service.
You will need a full, current UK driving license for this role. You will not be expected to use your own vehicle; instead, you will be covered under our mobility insurance and use client vehicles.
Your Responsibilities
This hands-on role means no two days will be the same! Your key duties will include:
* Promoting the independence of the individuals we support
* Assisting with daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, and outings
* Organizing engaging activities both at home and in the community
* Helping residents develop life skills and pursue personal interests
* Ensuring the safety and well-being of residents
* Providing personal care as needed
* Conducting manual handling tasks
* Supporting medication management
* Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service monitoring
