Based in Cambridge UK, the engineering community and governance team at Arm provides a variety of services aimed at supporting and driving engineering efficiency activities. We are looking for someone interested in joining our department primarily working on export control and intellectual property compliance projects. We are a team with varied strengths, working collaboratively towards a shared goal of engineering efficiency. Through accountabilities rooted in communities, compliance, and governance, we have a reputation for consistent high‑quality contributions towards outstanding engineering. You will work with geographically dispersed teams, developing your ability to support and spearhead work while building your own Arm network and establishing relationships.
Some occasional global travel may be required.
Role Snapshot: This role, based at our Cambridge office, covers a wide range of duties spanning project management, process management in export controls, and security compliance.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Engineering, Delivery, Legal and Licensing teams, and other key internal partners, to support the delivery of initiatives, tools, reports and processes.
- Communicate and connect with teams to promote and embed changes across the organisation, whilst being mindful of the cultural and behavioural impacts of change.
- Help develop and improve processes and ways of working to increase effectiveness and efficiency within Engineering.
- Report on progress of initiatives and business‑as‑usual activities; raise any risks or issues and highlight any known dependencies or blockers.
- Build and maintain online team areas to ensure relevant and accurate data and information is available, regularly audited and easily accessible.
- Support overall delivery, operation, performance measurement, monitoring and reporting.

Essential Skills and Experience
- At least one year’s experience in a role involving compliance or governance.
- Knowledge in one area of compliance such as export control, security principles, artificial intelligence or intellectual property compliance.
- Excellent social skills, adaptability and willingness to learn how to use unfamiliar tools and systems.
- Competence in addressing various partners.
- Experience in leading projects in governance.
- Ability to multi‑task and prioritise in a multifaceted environment.
- Ability to self‑organise and work independently or as part of a team, using initiative when required.
Desirable Skills
- Attention to detail, with good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Competently communicate and interact using several methods, whether in person or using available technology.
- Understanding of UK and EU dual‑use controls and US export regulations, and/or understanding of AI compliance and governance regulations, and/or open source license compliance.
- Experience of reporting and data analysis tools.
- Competency in using AI tools.
