Main Purpose
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Account Manager (ideally with B2B experience) to join our new Account Management Team based at our modern offices in Poole. The role will initially focus on our brand Just Gloves, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of disposable and reusable gloves, which has served over 100,000 customers since 2007.
This is a proactive, office-based account management role focused on growing sales to existing and previously active B2B customers. The successful candidate, in a team of 2 Account Managers, will play a critical role in shaping the long-term success of our account management programme.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Strengthen and grow customer relationships across our B2B customer base
* Increase reordering frequency and customer retention
* Proactively re-engage previously active customers to restore repeat business
* Develop new business within existing sectors and customer profiles
* Identify and support promising new accounts to build long‑term loyalty
* Research and acquire new customers by profiling against best existing customers
(Note: Although we operate a structured customer lifecycle framework internally, the above objectives represent the external‑facing strategic intent of the role.)
* Manage a portfolio of assigned B2B accounts via phone and email, with appropriate contact cadence
* Identify at‑risk or lapsed customers and take action to re‑establish engagement
* Follow up with new customers to encourage repeat orders and support onboarding
* Develop strong rapport with key buyers and purchasing contacts
* Use CRM and reporting tools to monitor customer activity and plan follow‑ups
* Collaborate with teams leads to share insight, flag opportunities, and improve conversion
* Contribute to a culture of accountability, responsiveness and commercial focus
Person Specification
* Minimum 3–5 years account management experience (ideally B2B)
* Proven track record in retaining and growing business accounts
* Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify customer value drivers
* Experience using CRM systems and working with structured customer data
* Confident phone manner and ability to build relationships with senior buyers
* Demonstrates strong listening skills, empathy, and professionalism in every customer interaction
* Can build rapport quickly and maintain credibility with a wide range of B2B customers
* Is commercially minded with a track record of hitting individual and team‑based KPIs
* Thrives in a proactive sales environment, balancing persistence with subtlety
* Communicates clearly, professionally and with purpose
* Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
* Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively
* Has the resilience and positivity to pursue long‑term growth across a broad customer base
