Have you got significant 'front line' clinical experience of providing assessment, treatment and support for people in Mental Health Crises in the community?
Are you looking for a role in a pioneering 'blue light' Mental Health Emergency service?
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated registered Mental Health Practitioner to join our small team of Clinical Leads. The team works rotationally in our First Point of Contact Centre and our newly commissioned Mental Health Response Vehicle, operated jointly with the South West Ambulance Services Foundation Trust.
The primary focus of this role is to work as an autonomous practitioner on the MHRV, providing timely face-to-face responses for individuals experiencing mental health crises. The role also involves rotating duties as Clinical Lead at the FPCC, offering expert clinical advice, support, supervision, and guidance to staff delivering the Mental Health Crisis telephone service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Exercise a high degree of professional autonomy and make critical judgments in the delivery of an emergency blue light service.
* Respond to Crisis calls at FPCC, acting as a clinical role model, mentoring staff, and managing challenging clinical scenarios when required.
* Navigate, liaise with, and refer to mental health services, voluntary and public sector agencies, and community support groups, utilizing the least restrictive options.
* Provide specialist advice, supervision, and support to emergency services colleagues regarding patients in mental health crises.
We have a dedicated workforce of over 5,000 colleagues across more than 55 sites and within people's homes. We foster a welcoming workplace culture that values civility, inclusivity, and diversity, creating a sense of belonging and trust.
About Us:
Our staff surveys and engagement activities provide opportunities for our team to share their experiences. The latest survey shows:
* 72% of colleagues recommend the Trust as a place to work, ranking us 1st among Provider Trusts in the South West.
* 76% would recommend the standard of care to friends or family, also ranking us 1st in the region.
* 81% believe patient and service user care is our priority, compared to 64% in similar NHS Trusts.
We are committed to becoming a Great Place to Work, with ongoing investments in staff engagement and development.
