Overview
The Senior Laboratory Support Associate (SSLA), at our life sciences client site in Oxford is a key role within our team. Reporting to the CBRE UK Cluster Lead, you’ll be a highly organised and dynamic individual and will work closely with the CBRE/Client team to provide critical support supervising the Laboratory Operations and Coordinating the Companies Laboratory Procedures to ensure the smooth operation within the laboratories.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate Laboratory Asset Management Programme (LAMP) – ensure all laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
* Work with vendors and third party sub-contractors to schedule breakdowns and schedule routine preventative maintenance for laboratory equipment
* Responsible for raising purchase orders via the CMMS system, and liaising with colleagues in Foster City to track and complete to resolution
* Arrange onboarding of new vendors with the client’s finance team
* Ordering stock via client ordering system
* Stock management via monitored stock list
* Receiving and checking in deliveries
* Replenishing stock in labs
* Dishwashing lab glassware
* Lab waste management – collecting, taking down for collection, replacement bins
* Liquid waste management with third party vendor
* Ensuring chemical waste inventory is kept up to date
* Utilising Chemwatch to ensure incoming deliveries are checked and quarantined until COSHH assessments are complete
* Assist with ad hoc projects that enable growth and continual improvement of the labs, processes and their efficiency

* The candidate will have a “can-do” attitude and work closely with management. Effective communicator at all levels to ensure effective laboratory operational needs are met
