Overview
We are seeking kind and compassionate individuals to join our ever expanding team! We have been providing support and care within the community since 1995 to various different service user types including children and the elderly. The role of a care assistant is extremely rewarding and fulfilling, with many opportunities to develop within your career at Abbots including paid diplomas and job progression. We are currently recruiting for community care assistants to join our teams providing care in peoples own homes in the Broxbourne and surrounding areas. Previous experience in the care industry is not necessary as paid comprehensive training is provided by our Inhouse training department. You will need to have a full driving licence with access to your own car in order for us to process your application.
Role
The role of a community care assistant includes providing care in peoples own homes and supporting service users with daily living tasks while promoting independence. Shifts typically run between 7am-10pm with patterns including 7am-2pm and 4pm-10pm, with alternate weekends. We offer Zero hour contracts as well as part-time and full contracts up to 40 hours per week.
Benefits and Pay
* Pay rates: £13.00 per hour on weekdays and £16.00 per hour on weekends for Zero hour contracts. For part-time/full contracts up to 40 hours per week, rates are £12.82 per hour on weekdays and £15.00 per hour on weekends.
* Shift patterns: 7am-2pm and 4pm-10pm, including alternate weekends
* Paid mileage: 40p per mile

Responsibilities
* Providing support and care for service users within their own homes
* Supporting and assisting with personal care
* Preparing meals and associated domestic tasks
* Administering medication
* Supporting service users with their hobbies and social interests
Requirements
* Full driving licence with access to your own vehicle and the right to work in the UK
* No prior care experience required due to comprehensive paid training
