Our Risk Control team provides a central service to the VWFS UK organisation. They form a key part in developing a positive approach to risk management within our Company strategy ensuring consistent standards are adopted.
We have an opportunity for you to join the team as a Risk Operations Manage where you’re responsible for providing 2nd Line support and oversight for the management of key risks. You’ll be joining at a time of growth for the team and we’re excited to hear from you if you have been in a similar role
As a primary interface between Risk Control (2nd Line of Defence) and VWFS UK and VW Bank UK branch, this is what your day could look like:
* You will have responsibility for activities that span both Volkswagen Financial Services (UK) Ltd. (VWFS UK) and VW Bank GmbH (UK Branch) (VW Bank UK) so you’ll need to comply with rules, regulations and standards relating to our European Organisational Handbook (E-OHB), the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and European Central Bank (ECB)
* Undertaking control assurance activity across all business areas and maintenance of the Risk Control Matrix
* Operation of business continuity and business impact assessment (BIA) requirements and maintenance of the data within HiScout
* Operation and oversight of the Internal Controls Self-Assessment (ICSA) processes
* You’ll support implementation of FCA Operational Resilience requirements across VWFS UK, this includes development of the Operational Resilience Policy and Framework, supporting tools, methodologies, monitoring and reporting capabilities
* Operation of the Supplier Due Diligence requirements covering, Financial Crime and Outsourcing Risk assessments ensuring compliance with the legal and regulatory standards
* Operation and oversight of the Outsourcing risk management model
* Operation and oversight of the collateral audit process in conjunction with the external service provider ensuring all audits are scheduled, completed and outcomes reported
* Operation of the operational risk loss reporting process including liaison with all VWFS UK business areas and relevant HQ team
* Maintenance and updating of relevant policies and procedures
* You’ll also support the Operational Risk Committee and Enterprise Risk Committee meetings

* Ability to understand the relevance of appropriate data and situational analysis
* You have great numeracy skills to support analysing and sizing problems and, accurate reporting
* You can communicate at all levels and present to technical and non-technical audiences
* Highly developed written and report writing skills, enabling clear documentation of analysis and findings
* Work in a collaborative way in projects and other multi-departmental activities, providing advice to jointly achieve effective results
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships across the business and with external suppliers
