Head of Operations – Food Manufacturing

Overview:

A leading food manufacturing business is seeking a driven and experienced Head of Operations to lead its Dungannon site. This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing the entire operational function, including production, people, performance, and process improvement. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering operational excellence and supporting long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide strategic and hands-on leadership across site operations.
2. Oversee all aspects of production including flow, efficiency, stock, safety, and customer fulfilment
3. Lead and develop high-performing operational teams, with a focus on accountability and results
4. Drive a continuous improvement culture using LEAN and data-led approaches
5. Collaborate closely with Technical, Engineering, Finance, Planning, and Logistics teams
6. Take ownership of site performance reporting and ensure delivery against key KPIs
7. Champion compliance with food safety, health & safety, and environmental standards
8. Manage relationships with suppliers and planning teams to ensure accurate stock control
