Oldham College is looking for an experienced and passionate Head of Faculty – Hair and Beauty to lead our dynamic faculty. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated leader to drive excellence in education, curriculum development, and commercial salon operations while ensuring the success of our learners.
About the Role
As Head of Faculty, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Hair and Beauty education at Oldham College. Working closely with the Director of Curriculum, you will oversee faculty staff and resources, enhance operational efficiency, and foster the growth of our commercial salon.
Your leadership will ensure our curriculum remains industry-relevant, innovative, and aligned with employer and community needs. By implementing best practices in teaching and assessment, you will create an engaging and high-quality learning environment that drives student success.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage Faculty staff, overseeing recruitment, induction, professional development, and performance.
* Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment.
* Ensure curriculum development meets industry standards and enhances employability skills.
* Oversee learner recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression.
* Build strong relationships with employers and awarding bodies to support accreditation and industry alignment.
* Manage financial planning, resource allocation, and commercial salon development.
* Lead promotional activities, including open events, employer engagement, and marketing initiatives.
About You

* A relevant degree and recognised teaching qualification .
* Extensive experience in Hair and Beauty education and faculty management .
* A proven track record of curriculum innovation and quality improvement .
* Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* A commitment to enhancing student outcomes and employability .
