Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in food production and preparation, with a strong background in restaurant operations.
Duties
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to health and safety regulations.
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, showcasing creativity and attention to detail.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and professional development.
* Manage food inventory, ordering supplies as necessary to maintain optimal stock levels.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
* Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends.
* Monitor food quality during preparation and service, making adjustments as needed to meet guest expectations.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a Chef role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
* Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen environment.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and guests.
* Previous kitchen experience is essential; culinary qualifications are an advantage.
