Experienced Youth or Community Support Worker

GSL is seeking to recruit an experienced Youth Worker for an established Children’s Service in Kingston. The position is available to start as soon as possible and will involve working during term time until the end of the academic year, with the potential for permanent employment.
The school caters to pupils who may be vulnerable and sometimes challenging. You will collaborate with colleagues to develop action plans for students across primary and secondary levels, actively participating in implementing programs that encourage learners to overcome barriers, enhance their skills, and achieve recognized qualifications.
Skills and Requirements for Youth Worker
* Background in youth work, education, or care
* Graduates specializing in psychology, special needs, or social and emotional mental health
* Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with families, carers, and a multidisciplinary team including teaching staff and educational psychologists
* Organized, patient, confident, with a solid understanding of current issues affecting young people
