Knowledge Development Lawyer – Commercial Disputes (5+ PQE) | London
Are you a commercial disputes lawyer who enjoys the intellectual side of practice? Analysing developments, shaping best practice, and helping others perform at their best?
A leading UK law firm is looking for a Knowledge Development Lawyer to join its Commercial Disputes team in London. This is a rare opportunity to step into a strategic role at the heart of one of the market’s most respected disputes practices.
The Opportunity
You’ll work closely with senior lawyers to capture and share the firm’s collective expertise, monitor key legal developments, and design innovative ways to deliver knowledge and training across the group. The role blends legal analysis, strategy and collaboration, ideal for someone who values depth, precision and impact.
What You’ll Do
* Track, analyse and share key developments in commercial litigation and procedure.
* Curate and manage precedents, internal know-how and best-practice guidance.
* Support the creation of thought-leadership materials — articles, webinars, podcasts.
* Design and deliver training in collaboration with Learning & Development.
* Advise on process improvement, compliance and risk management.
* Work alongside talented colleagues across disputes and the wider firm.
About You
* England & Wales qualified lawyer with 5+ years’ PQE in commercial disputes (litigation or arbitration).
* Strong technical understanding of disputes procedure, costs and funding rules.
* Previous experience as a Knowledge Lawyer or PSL is a plus, but not essential — this role could equally suit a practising disputes lawyer with a passion for knowledge, learning and innovation.
* Excellent communication, drafting and analytical skills.
* Organised, collaborative and commercially minded.
What’s on Offer
Join a forward-thinking, collaborative firm recognised for excellence in complex disputes. You’ll enjoy a role that combines intellectual challenge with clear purpose, supported by a competitive salary, modest targets, and a culture that genuinely values balance and professional growth.
