We are ideally seeking an individual who can demonstrate a high level of technical ability and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership skills are also essential as you will be required to assume responsibility at an operational site level, overseeing the respective team(s) of engineers to provide support, develop and motivate.
We prefer the successful candidate to be located in Manchester.
Reporting directly to the Technical Services Manager, you will provide National coverage and play a pivotal role in ensuring HFL's reputation remains synonymous with quality and professionalism.
* Assessing the project requirements of their clients, Generate Tenders and quotes across the company when required
* Ensure contractors and service partners are performing to the required standards of service and customer care in line with HFL's own value, culture and expectations
* manage smaller project costs, budgets, margins, Risk's effectively to meet targets
* Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports for projects
* Negotiating with suppliers and contractors in relation to project work for best practice and price compassions
* Assist the TSM with leading a project team
* Manage and work closely with selected sub-contractors
* Continuously monitoring quality, costs and progress
* Communicating and reporting to the client to ensure they are meeting their goals
* Generate CDM documentation as and when necessary, across all Extra works & Projects.
* Be familiar with project related contracts I.E JCT, NEC etc.
* Prepare the final report with the TSM at the conclusion of the project, annotate 'as-built' drawings, and contribute to health and safety documentation as well as operation and maintenance manuals.
* Work closely with CM's or Small works that may fall under CDM regs and engineers to cost and manage works
* Consistently deliver the companies "Management Expectations" successfully across all technical trades under your remit
* Take the lead role in introducing ways of working changes
* Develop and maintain technical and regulatory standards and requirements for maintenance by the constant updating and implementation of effective processes policies and procedures throughout the company
* Working with the technical compliance team ensure the maintenance and monitoring of the registrations for OFTEC, Gas Safe, F Gas, ECA, LCA,
* Work closely the compliance team QSHE Manager, Electrical QS, Water Compliance Manger and Commercial teams
* Liaise with relevant colleges to insure we are keeping up with all industry standards and consult on required training
* Review regularly to ensure apprentices are on target
* Review and ensure all portfolio required for all apprentices are completed to a high standard
* To complete and manage condition reports as part of HFL's mobilisation process of new & existing sites.
* To complete asset verification reports as per requests from HFL's Business Development team
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Building service apprenticeship is preferred
* 3 + years' experience in HVAC/ FM field
* Level 4 Qualification in related field preferred
* Exceptional ability to understand and anticipate customer needs, delivering personalised solutions that exceed expectations
* Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead cross-functional teams
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address customer challenges and identify opportunities for growth
* Familiarity with industry trends, market conditions and the competitive landscape
* Familiar with Microsoft Office and Microsoft tools
* SSSTS or SMSTS desirable
* IOSH Managing safely (or similar)
