Overview
An organisation operating in complex, secure environments is seeking a Lead Enterprise Architect to drive enterprise-wide architecture strategy across multiple programmes and domains.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead enterprise architecture development and governance across programmes
* Define and maintain architecture principles, standards, and frameworks aligned to business strategy
* Shape architecture strategy for a major Line of Business
* Provide technical leadership across cloud, infrastructure, data, applications, and security
* Chair design reviews and ensure alignment with strategic and security objectives
* Drive innovation, research, and capability development
* Represent the organisation at senior external forums
* Mentor and develop the internal architecture community
Requirements
* Proven experience leading enterprise architecture in large, complex environments (Essential)
* Strong background in defence/aerospace programmes within secure or government contexts (Essential)
* Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, MODAF, ArchiMate) (Essential)
* Deep understanding of secure-by-design principles and cybersecurity (Essential)
* Experience in architectural governance, design assurance, and cross-domain delivery
* Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills
* Relevant certifications (e.g. TOGAF, cloud architect, CISSP)
* Experience contributing to industry standards or thought leadership
* Exposure to international or regulatory environments
