Physical Education (PE) Teacher – Full-Time, Long-Term
Location: Bushey, Hertfordshire
Salary: £34,398 – £46,839 per annum (dependent on experience)
Start Date: February 2026
We are pleased to be working with a dynamic and forward-thinking secondary school in Bushey, seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated PE Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from February 2026.
The school is well known for its excellent sports facilities, inclusive ethos, and strong commitment to promoting physical fitness, wellbeing, and positive lifestyles among students. This is an exciting opportunity for a PE specialist who can inspire young people through engaging, energetic, and well-structured lessons.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students
* Plan and lead a broad and balanced PE curriculum covering a range of sports and activities
* Promote teamwork, resilience, participation, and healthy lifestyle habits
* Support and contribute to extracurricular sports clubs, teams, and fixtures
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student progress and behaviour
* Assess, monitor, and track student performance, providing clear and constructive feedback
Ideal Candidate
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (preferred but not essential)
* Experience teaching PE at secondary level
* Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
* Strong knowledge across a variety of sports and physical fitness disciplines
* Passionate about promoting physical activity, wellbeing, and personal development
* Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
