Due to the expansion of our charity, One YMCA is seeking an experienced IT Desktop Engineer to join our small internal team, working alongside our Managed Services Provider. This role provides IT support to approximately 650 staff across more than fifty locations, so it involves a significant amount of travel and hands-on support.
The ideal candidate:
• Will be confident, proactive, and able to use their initiative, with proven experience providing desktop support in a corporate or multi-site environment.
• You will be responsible for setting up IT environments in new locations, which requires a strong working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, as well as experience installing and configuring computers, routers, VOIP systems, CCTV cameras, and network switches.
• You should also be able to troubleshoot and resolve a range of IT issues, including software, hardware, and cabling faults, ensuring a varied and interesting workload.
As One YMCA upgrades its infrastructure, including replacing legacy firewalls with Cisco Meraki hardware, experience with Meraki products would be advantageous. You will spend a considerable amount of time working unsupervised across multiple sites, so strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your time effectively are essential.

• A full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential, although transport may be provided in some circumstances.
