What you will do Support the Team Manager in the effective management of the Looked After Children (CLA) team. Provide supervision, professional guidance, and support to social workers and support staff. Oversee complex cases involving children in care, ensuring robust care planning and timely reviews. Lead on permanence planning including adoption, fostering, and Special Guardianship Orders (SGOs). Ensure high-quality assessments, care plans, and the completion of statutory visits. Act as deputy to the Team Manager when required, maintaining continuity and service stability. Monitor team performance, manage caseloads, and ensure compliance with key performance indicators. Participate in strategy meetings, care planning forums, and placement stability discussions. Ensure adherence to legislation including the Children Act 1989 & 2004 and Care Planning Regulations. Work collaboratively with Independent Reviewing Officers (IROs), foster carers, providers, and partner agencies across health and education.
