Job description

Join Our Team as a SEN Support Assistant!

We're excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to join our amazing team as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support Assistant. If you're passionate about helping children succeed and want to make a real difference in their learning journey, this could be the perfect role for you!

You'll be working with children with a range of needs, offering the support they need to thrive in the classroom and beyond across mainstream and specialist settings. Whether it's one-on-one support or helping out in small groups, you'll be playing a key role in ensuring every child has the chance to reach their full potential.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Providing tailored support to individual children or small groups, including those with special educational needs.
- Assisting in the delivery of interventions and learning strategies.
- Working closely with teachers to make sure every child gets the help they need.
- Encouraging and motivating children, helping them grow both academically and socially.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to get the best results for the children.

Who We're Looking For:
- Someone with relevant qualifications (like NVQ L3 or equivalent) and experience supporting children with additional needs.
- A great understanding of how children learn and how assessment can help move their learning forward.
- Confidence in supporting children with different abilities, including those with communication challenges.
- The ability to work with children, adapt to their needs, and help manage their behaviour in a positive and supportive way.
- A team player who communicates well and has a genuine passion for helping children succeed.

What We'd Love to See:
- Patience, caring, and a proactive approach to supporting children.
- A positive attitude and enthusiasm for working in an inclusive environment.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt to the needs of the school day.
- A commitment to working collaboratively and making a real impact.

So, if you're ready to roll up your sleeves and help make a positive impact, we'd love to hear from you!
