This is an excellent opportunity for HR Administrative Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and manage shifting priorities effectively.


What you’ll do

When you join the Davisons Law team as an HR Administrative Assistant, you will have the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and have a proactive and solution-focused mindset. Ideally you will have experience in an administrative or HR support role and have or be working towards CIPD Level 3 or equivalent HR qualification. You will also have an understanding of employment law and HR best practices.


Key Responsibilities:

* Support the new starter process, including pre-employment checks, preparation of contracts, and offer letters.
* Maintain and update checklists; ensure key dates are reflected in calendars and relevant teams are informed.
* Monitor and update HR systems (Sage) with employee onboarding.
* Update the firms absence management system for new starters and allocate annual leave entitlements.
* Maintain up-to-date administration of employee records.
* Assist with monitoring employee sickness absence and reporting findings to senior management.
* Monitor probation and appraisal periods, providing timely reminders to managers.
* Assist with the offboarding process for leavers, including updating the leaver checklist and notifying relevant teams. Scheduling and conducting exit interviews.
* Acknowledging key staff milestones, such as completion of probation periods and work anniversaries.
* Mental Health First Aider - first point of contact for employees.
* Manage the HR inbox, responding to or escalating queries as appropriate.
* Perform general administrative duties as needed.
