Secondary Maths Teacher – mainstream secondary – Fareham, Hampshire
Start Date: Immediate / January 2026 | Contract Type: Full-Time
Salary: £30,000 – £50,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Secondary Maths Teacher to join a mainstream secondary school in Fareham. This is a full-time role, available for an immediate start or from January 2026.
As a Secondary Maths Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping students build strong problem-solving, logical reasoning, and numeracy skills. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), this is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact in a supportive school environment.
Secondary Maths Teacher Responsibilities:
* Teach Mathematics across the Key Stages in line with the national curriculum
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons
* Monitor, assess, and report on student progress effectively
* Foster enthusiasm for Mathematics and encourage student achievement
* Differentiate lessons to meet a wide range of abilities
* Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to departmental success
* Engage in school-wide activities and professional development opportunities
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), ECTs, or recognised overseas teaching qualifications
* Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
* Ability to inspire and motivate secondary-aged learners
* Effective classroom management and organisational skills
* A proactive and committed approach to teaching and learning
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices
* Enhanced DBS registered on the update service, or willingness to apply via GSL Education
