About the role: This varied and interesting role requires the candidate to assist in the provision of efficient and effective administrative support to operational and support teams within Adults Services. You will be required to provide office cover each week on a rota basis with remaining days worked from home. About you: *Good administrative and numeracy skills and competent to use Office IT packages. *Ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines with a flexible approach to your work. *Ability to work as part of a team. *A clear understanding of the importance of confidentiality. *Pleasant, professional and empathetic manner when dealing with colleagues and members of the public. *Commitment to undertaking any qualification/training relevant to this post. What you will do: *Co-ordinate, attend and take notes/minutes of a range of meetings, which may include support to Adult Services in respect of the safeguarding agenda, produce and distribute minutes, as required. *Maintain and update a range of electronic/manual information systems and assist with the collation of any statistical returns. *Order stationery, publications and equipment in line with procurement policies and procedures. *Undertake project work on a “task and finish” basis under the direction of the Supervisor. *Liaise with other organisations including statutory, independent and voluntary agencies. *Undertake reception and switchboard duties when required. This position has a requirement for a Standard DBS Check.
