About the role: The Chief Financial Officer will contribute to the business plan, develop the financial model, and ongoing finance strategy. The CFO will be responsible for implementing the financial strategy from investment and business scaling, to exit. This will involve driving the business as a leader, providing strategic direction. Responsibilities: • All financial operations of the business driving it operationally and commercially • Maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders • Preparation of detailed and insightful performance analysis, cashflow forecasting, and reporting • Financial strategising and modelling • Raising investment • Business administration • Tax planning • Exit planning Minimum criteria: • A chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) • Experience as a CFO or FD • Knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations • Company administration • Knowledge of entrepreneurial landscape for investment, tax, cap table mgt etc Highly beneficial: • Experience in healthcare or related sectors • Understanding of project cost accounting • Track record of improving internal and external financial reporting • Managing and raising investment • Financial strategist • Experience in exiting a business Company Overview: At Sensmart Ltd, we are redefining inclusive care through innovation. Location and Logistics: Hybrid role: Work from home with weekly 1-2-1 meetings (twice monthly face to face) Part -Time position with the opportunity to progress into a full-time role. Compensation & Benefits: As we are a bootstrapped SME, we will initially only be able to offer company equity; once the board agrees that there are sufficient funds to pay staff, the team will be paid in accordance with the financial model. We anticipate the full salary to be in the vicinity of £135,000 depending on skillset. 25 days Annual Leave, 10 bank holidays, and 1 mental-health day per year. We are open to flexible working, part-time working or job-share working formats. The role is hybrid by nature; predominantly working remotely with fortnightly in-person working.
