Description
As a Transport Manager at Seras, you will take ownership of the transport operation, managing drivers, fleet, and depot activities to ensure everything runs smoothly, safely, and cost-effectively. You will also play a key role in building and developing a high-performing team through effective recruitment and strong people management. This is a fast-paced role suited to someone who enjoys challenge and thrives in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily transport operations, including driver and vehicle allocation
* Ensure full compliance with company policies and transport legislation
* Manage depot activities, resources, and operational requirements
* Lead recruitment activities, ensuring the attraction and selection of high-quality drivers
* Provide effective people management, including performance management, coaching, and development
* Maintain high vehicle maintenance standards to minimise downtime and control costs
* Monitor performance, identify improvements, and drive operational efficiency
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential:
* IT Literate including Microsoft word, excel and outlook
* Experience in transport operations management
* International/National CPC Licence Holder
* Working knowledge of EU Drivers Hours, WTD and tachograph legislation
Desirable:
* IOSH Qualification
