This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. Midlothian HSCP is seeking 2 highly skilled and innovative Advanced Occupational Therapy Practitioner’s (AOTPs) to join our new targeted in-reach teams within Emergency Medicine at NHS Lothian acute sites. You will form part of an in-reach model of care, focussing on highly specialist therapy-led assessment, proactive discharge planning and cross-sector co-ordination to enhance patient experiences and improved patient outcomes.
You will lead and develop the in-reach team, working collaboratively with the Home First teams in Midlothian, implementing and evaluating evidence-based standards, guidelines, and policies. You will engage in quality improvement and research activities to advance the service. You will also be responsible for the supervision, guidance and day to day management of Assistant Practitioners, students and other Occupational Therapists as appropriate.
The successful candidate(s) will be HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist with significant experience relevant to this area of practice.
