Continuous Improvement Engineer

Salary depending on experience £40, to £45,
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lean Transformation Engineer to support site‑wide continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role will play a key part in embedding lean principles and delivering measurable improvements in productivity, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
Key Responsibilities
·Develop and deploy lean processes aligned with business and operational objectives
·Champion lean methodologies including 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, and Visual Management
·Analyse manufacturing, fabrication, and business support processes to identify waste, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies
·Lead cross‑functional improvement projects to optimise throughput, reduce lead times, and improve quality
·Establish KPIs, dashboards, and governance structures to track performance and sustain improvements
·Coach and support managers and supervisors in adopting new ways of working
·Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to implement process enhancements
·Develop and maintain process documentation including SOPs, workflows, and training materials
Requirements
·Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering related subject
·Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
·Proficiency in process mapping tools and data analysis software
